Market Lead, Project Partner (Cockpit Studios)
As the Head of Business Incubation at Cockpit, leads their team of business coaches and trainers. He is responsible for the design and delivery of Cockpit’s in-house programme of business support alongside one-to-one and group coaching. David also leads Cockpit’s consultancy service, working with partners in the UK and overseas to deliver business and development programmes in craft and social enterprise. Over the past 10 years David has worked with the British Council on a number of projects in Asia, principally centered on sustainability within the craft sector. The last two of these were in Pakistan, partnering with SEED Ventures, these being RISE and DICE. Alongside his role at Cockpit, David retains his interest in sustainable jewelery production. He is a founder member of the UK group Fair Luxury and an advisory board member of Ethical Metalsmiths in the USA. David is an Alumni Fellow of Nottingham Business School, part of Nottingham Trent University in the UK.
