Rejah Khawar is an architect and works as a Project Architect at Open Door Design Studio. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Karachi. Her thesis focused on creating hybridized opportunities for public spaces within dense urban environments while addressing the needs of a community of farmers based in Murad Memon Goth. Within her capacity as an architect, she works with contextually relevant interventions that celebrate craft and culture and enhance the experiential quality of the spaces that she is working with. Besides her practice, she also enjoys exploring multiple art forms like photography and ceramics. She is currently exploring different arenas to collaborate with other creatives on projects that range from understanding ecological systems to working with crafts. ‘Making’ is a joyful practice and one she wishes to explore thoroughly to understand materials, techniques and expressions. She is also an aspiring mountaineer and enjoys reading, writing and traveling to quiet places.
